Stone Spirit
02:16
|
|||
Stone Spirit,
Bones of the Mother
Window and mirror,
anchor and teacher
Solid illusion,
mystical union
Matter and Spirit,
cavern and mountain
Silently speaking,
passing all seeming
Luminous being,
song of the Dreaming
O wisdom-keeper,
Earth-Spirit power
Dream of the Mother,
I hold you in honor

Skin Changer
04:04
|
|||
Barefoot through the dewy grasses
under darksome skies
by the full pale moon's bleak light
on the wings of the night I rise
Stealthy rise into the gloom
my feathers beat the air
Keen my eyes to pierce the black
and find my quarry there
Earthward plunge, and shift again
my feather-cloak I trade
for sleek the hide of swiftest hare
and dart into the shade
Over field and under fern
And through the shadowed grove
Among the reeds I change once more
into the deep I dove
Chased with silver, starlit stream
I glide among the stones
Water chimes upon the rocks
a-stirring in the foam
Warm the light that calls me back
above I see the blaze
The sacred fire that beckons bright
through the midnight haze
Fins I shed as fingers clasp
the velvet mossy banks
In human form I rise again,
and warm, and give my thanks
Hail the skies and hail the stones
and hail the glittering stream
Hail the flame which called me home
and dreams within the dream.

Skull Of Herbs
03:27
|

Smoke of Herbs, to my Spirit: ascend
With my heartfelt prayers out of a painted Skull
(The ribbon unfurls
A smoke-road winding
my astral chariot gliding through the green
White, the domed Temple looms into view:
the Seeress, in her cobweb gown
through the smoky veil she calls after me:
"Remember the Guardian"
In the rocky cleft his noble shield melts into quicksilver
Into the smoky void I hurtle
My vision bursts:
a violet nebula tumbles in the endless velvet black
through a veil, a white screen of thin bone
My eyes peer through the eyes of the skull,
the eyes of the Guardian)
Skull of herbs
Smoke of Herbs, to my Spirit: ascend
With my heartfelt prayers out of a painted Skull

Enchanted Leaf

Enchanted Leaf
Circle scribed by hallowed golden leaf,
Bless us within, without, above, beneath,
in all the four directions scribe the air;
the round of love's sweet myst'ry hold us there.
So brightly glow in wood wet-dark and dim,
You know my heart o leaf, and you know him;
O sage and ancient spirit: Yggdrasil,
this encircled moment wholly fill
By leaf and branch and root and potent seed,
In times of joy and still in direst need,
O leaf of blessing from the cosmic tree:
Entwine us, root and branch, my love and me

In Moymel

In Moymel
I alone see all of this
the shape of the landscape
shifts before me in magickal ways
I look up into the sky through the trees
ghostly mist arises out of the earth
as the skies grow slowly dim
Spirits of nature leave the signs for me
to learn more of the ways of the forest
I see an image of an old green face
as I walk the path I once walked as a child

Thin Veil
02:04
|

Apple love-sickened upheld to the moon
petals of roses garnish stone
smoke of clove coils upward
this is a time that is not a time
in a place that is not a place
on a day that is not a day (repeat)
This is a time

Walpurgisnacht
03:48
|

Thou art reborn
After Death, death of Life
Thou givest thee
a third to pass thee through this dread door saith she
saith she
love is holy in the great rite
love under will shall be the law
Chance of rekindle the bel-fire
'round the cauldron they dance, they dance
Walpurgisnacht

The Dawn-Piper's Tune
03:47
|
|||
the Dawn-Piper's Tune
When fading stars their honeydew shed
On new leaves fair and tender
Misty the small hours before the dawn
when I beheld the Piper
My eyes were charmed by the glittering glen
Clothed all in lace and diamonds
The tatting spiders had captured the gems
that ringed the mossy island
O sweet the tune that beckoned me
and lulled the little foundling
The otter's babe in spellbound slumber
lay safe in the arm of the May-King
His horns curved wide as he took his ease
the shaggy God of the Woodlands
Calm he shone in reverie
his piping melody's sweet trance
The reedy pipes he withdrew from his lips
and sloe-dark eyes he opened
and seized my animal heart with Joy
a-trembling 'neath the rowan
Then broke the Dawn with her glorious gold
and shafts of brightness streaming
And then did ancient Pan divine
fade soft into the gleaming
If I should live ten thousand years
and know ten-score new lifetimes
though all Eternity pass away
His music, still deep in my heart, chimes.
